Teacher Request For Funds

We've Got You Covered 🏦

Teachers, HSO would love to be able to fund your request for field trips, classroom projects, or other financial needs. We’re trying to streamline this for the 2025-206 school year. Please read the new Fund Request FAQ, and then submit the form below!

How are requests under $500 handled?

Once you submit the form above, your request will go through a vote with the current HSO officers. You should hear back on the status of your request within a week of submitting it.

What if the request is over $500?

Requests over $500 will require a vote from all HSO members. We will look more at our yearly budget and goals when considering this request.

I submitted a request, but haven't heard back from anyone.

If more than a week has passed since you submitted your request, please contact a HSO Officer. You can also fill out this Contact Form.

What do you look for in classroom item requests?

We’re excited to make classroom shopping easier! Each teacher gets $200 from the school, and we match it, giving you $400 to spruce up your classroom with decorations, books, project supplies, or anything physical that helps your students thrive. If you need more than $400, it’s tough for us to approve, as we need to save funds for all teachers and focus on items that benefit the whole school. But if you have a special request that could impact multiple classes or last for years at CES, please send it our way! Just know it’ll go through a careful review.

What do you look for in field trip, party & other requests?

We’re thrilled to support field trips, special events, or items that benefit the whole school! The amount HSO can approve depends on available funds. Things like admission or mileage are easier to cover, while less healthy food items are trickier, but not impossible. For example, if a class hasn’t used any funds, we’d love to help with something fun like an end-of-year pizza party if we can! Every request is unique and reviewed case by case to maximize benefits for the kids. If we can’t approve something, we’ll let you know, and you may need to ask parents to chip in for the difference.

Got big ideas for pricier projects that could benefit the whole school for years? Share them with us! They might be perfect for an upcoming Coin Wars fundraiser.
